Three Little Birds

Story of 3 little birds and one who soared above us all.

Happy Patriot’s Day!

The entire city of Boston took the day off today in honor of Patriot’s Day and the Boston Marathon. We ended up catching up a part of it and saw the wheel chair marathoners as well as the first group of runners. Nothing like some very impressive athletes to make us Midwesterners feel fat and lazy! The 6th place finisher was a lady named Lydia from Russia. Maybe it’s good luck!

As for surgery, it doesn’t look like it will be tomorrow as there seems to be a scheduling mix-up and not sure when it officially is. Hopefully this week as it’s frustrating having our lives in limbo and I’m really missing Wyatt and Ava (and the cats and my bed too!) It has been nice to be able to have so much time with Lydia. Since bringing W&A home, we’ve only been able to spend an hour or two at a time in the NICU and would trade back and forth or I’d pop in on her during the day at work. This is the first time we’ve really been able to hold, play and be with her all day. She really is the sweetest thing and pretty agreeable most of the time. Her smile is getting bigger and more frequent and she almost coos at times. She’s getting lots of photo time too!

Clay & Amanda: You two have strength to be admired and wished for by many. The ups and downs you’ve been through have been many – but know there are many praying for you and Lydia. Grandma J. & Grandma & Grandpa S. showed off Wyatt and Ava at Wesley UMC in a very proud fashion! Those two babies are beautiful – as are the pictures of Lydia. You ALL are in my prayers. God Bless You & Your Family. Bev Whorton

    Clay and Amanda,

What a great blog about your babies. It was good to see pictures of the little ones I have been praying for. You all hang in there and know that many prayers are being sent to the Father for you and your little ones.

Keep the updates coming as i sure enjoy them to see how my little angel is doing. With the skilled staff and the Lord’s guidance, I know she will have the best care available. I know it is tough for all of you with the waiting and waiting, but we want the best for her.
